How It Works

A guided conversation that goes further back than your resume

Five thresholds. About two hours. A permanent document grounded in what you have always done. Not to prove yourself to companies. To know yourself clearly enough to choose among them.

The Journey

Five thresholds. Each one goes deeper.

The first two are free. Pay at Threshold 3 only when you have seen what the conversation can find.

Before your career, before any title, the pattern was already running. The first threshold goes back before anyone was paying you — to the things you did without being asked, the problems you couldn’t help solving, the version of you that existed before you learned to shapeshift.

What the AI does

Asks about childhood, early instincts, what you gravitated toward before the world named it.

“I just never thought of it as... something. It was just how I moved through the world.” — Maya, 47
Your CanonThreshold 1 · What Was Already True
Before we talk about your career, I want to go back further. Before anyone paid you, before any title — what did you do that you couldn’t help doing?
I grew up in Queens. My parents ran a dry cleaning business. By the time I was seven or eight, I was the one standing at that counter. Someone would come in upset about a stain. But I could hear they weren’t really angry about the stain. The fear was the point.
At eight years old, you were already doing it. You couldn’t stand the feeling of people talking past each other when the real thing was right there, underneath.

Your career wasn’t a series of disconnected roles. The same thing kept appearing across every job, every company, every industry. The second threshold walks through your work history looking not for what changed, but for what stayed constant.

What the AI does

Moves through your career role by role, naming what persisted — what people kept coming to you for regardless of the job description.

“I wasn’t scattered. I was consistent. I was the most consistent person in the room and I thought I was the most lost.” — Maya, 47
Your CanonThreshold 2 · What Keeps Showing Up
In both roles, people kept coming to you to translate the technical stuff. In the nonprofit, you made donor stories legible. In the startup, you made the product human. That’s not a coincidence.
I never saw it that way. I thought I just kept picking different jobs.
You didn’t pick different jobs. You kept finding new containers for the same thing. The container changed. The thing didn’t.

Every career move was also a search. The third threshold explores what you were reaching toward — and what you were leaving behind. The pattern in your transitions is not random. It tells you something precise about the conditions your thread actually needs to function.

What the AI does

Explores the transitions — what drew you forward, what pushed you away, and what you kept searching for even when you couldn’t name it.

“I’ve been asking myself the wrong question for fifteen years. The ache isn’t the problem. The ache is the compass.” — Maya, 47
Your CanonThreshold 3 · What You Were Seeking
You said agency life was ‘drive-by intimacy.’ That’s a precise phrase. What were you searching for that kept being just out of reach?
Proximity. I needed to be close enough to actually see the face change. You can’t translate through a strategy document. You can’t translate from three levels up.
That’s your operating system talking. Proximity isn’t a preference — it’s the condition under which your gift actually works.

The fourth threshold grounds everything in specific moments. Not strengths lists. Not general patterns. A Tuesday afternoon when something clicked. A time you couldn’t walk away. A moment when someone said something about you that you recognized as true.

What the AI does

Asks for a specific story, stays inside it, and reflects back what it reveals — making the abstract pattern undeniably concrete.

“You didn’t invent this today. You recognized it.”
Your CanonThreshold 4 · The Stories That Prove It
With Emeka, you created space where he could relax into who he already was. With struggling analysts at 9pm, you helped them find their footing without giving them answers. Same gift. Different expression every time.
I create the conditions where people can become who they are meant to be. I’ve never said it that way before.
That’s not a skill I developed. That’s not a methodology I learned. That’s just me. It’s how I’ve always moved through the world.
Your Common Thread

The fifth threshold is the claiming moment. Everything surfaced in the first four thresholds comes together into a complete statement of who you are. The AI reflects back the full picture, asks you to claim it, and generates your Canon document.

What the AI does

Synthesizes everything, names the complete Common Thread, and invites you to claim it as yours — not because it was invented, but because it was always already true.

“It was always yours. Now you have words for it.”
Your CanonThreshold 5 · What Was Always Yours
For twenty-five years, you have been trying to explain yourself to people. And the whole time, the explanation was already there, running underneath everything you did. Are you ready to claim it?
I’m a translator. Not of languages — meaning. I translate what people actually need underneath what they’re asking for. I’ve always done this. I just never let myself call it something.
I see myself now. That’s enough for this moment. That’s more than enough.

What You Walk Away With

Your Canon document — a permanent artifact

Not a report. Not a summary. A document that belongs to you — not to any company, any title, or any role description.

The Foundation

The one thing that was true across all of it

Your Common Thread is not a job title or a brand statement. It is the pattern of contribution that persisted across every role you’ve held — recognized from your career, not invented for your resume. The statement you will use as the foundation for everything that comes next.

James · Your Common Thread
I create the conditions where people can become who they are meant to be.
You have been looking your whole career for someone who would believe in the work so you could feel safe doing it. What if the belief has to come from you first?
I don’t need permission to create conditions where people can become who they are meant to be. I have been doing it since I was twelve. The permission was always mine to give.
The Difference

Why this is different from everything else you've tried

Recognition over invention. The pattern already exists. The work is finding it — not building it.
